So glad we got to be a part of their special day!

A September wedding at Governor’s Pavilion in Wolcott, Indiana, filled with family history, prayer, and one groom who could not hold back his tears.

Laurel and Jayson chose not to do a first look. When the large pavilion doors opened and Laurel stepped outside, it was the first time Jayson saw his bride.

Tears ran down his cheeks as she walked toward him.

That moment was beautiful, but it was only one piece of a day filled with so much meaning.

Laurel wore the same veil her grandmother wore, handmade by her great grandmother. She also wore her great grandmother’s turquoise necklace. Before Laurel and Jayson exchanged rings, their mothers carried the rings forward and prayed over them together.

There was also plenty of fun. Without telling each other, both Laurel and Jayson separately asked if we could take wedding pictures with Jayson’s blue 2001 Dodge truck. Of course we did!

These high school sweethearts became husband and wife surrounded by the people who raised them, prayed for them, and helped them reach this day.

Laurel and Jayson, thank you for trusting me to preserve what mattered. May your marriage always be surrounded by the same faith, family, laughter, and steadfast love that filled your wedding day.
