What a truly special day! Huge thanks to all the sponsors, volunteers, vendors, musicians, stage crew and MC, parade participants, runners, and all the attendees who showed up despite the rain!! We owe a debt of gratitude as well to Winterville Police and Fire Departments, who were an immense help with festival traffic and safety, and Winterville Public Works, who are everything to this festival. Thanks to Mayor Dodd, for his support and for coming through with the save for the music so we could keep partying. Finally, thank you to the City of Winterville for hosting the Marigold Festival, you are a generous and beautiful community!

Good morning! We're gearing up for an exciting day, starting with the Marigold 10K at 7:30am! Reminder: the festival goes on RAIN or SHINE. There are rolling road closures for the 10K and the Parade at 10am. Visit the website (and previous post) (link in bio) for more festival info. If weather permits, try biking or walking to the festival via the Firefly Trail!

Tomorrow is the big day! Visit marigoldfestival.com (link in bio) for more info, including music lineup, list of vendors, signups and more. See you there!
Here's the rundown:
7:30am: Athens Road Runners 50th Annual Marigold 10K race
9am - 5pm: Vendor booths will be open, including Marigold Festival souvenir booth!
9am - 5pm: Marigold Market
9am - 5pm: Giant Model Train Layout at the Depot courtesy of Northeast Georgia N Scale Railroad Club
10am: Parade (starts near Winterville Center on Church Street toward City Hall, parade announcer is located on the corner of Church and Parkview)
11am - 3pm: Cruise-In! Watch a showcase of cars by the, including classic, antique, street rods, hot rods, and rat rods from the Madison County Cruisers (located near the Winterville Train Depot)
11am - 3pm: Kids Area will be open (bounce houses, face painting, mini golf courtesy of Putt Athens, and more!)
11am - 5pm: Live Demonstrations by CANOPY STUDIO, Athens Skatepark Project, and more
12pm - 8pm: Live music (stage is located in Pittard Park, beyond the large pavilion; bring your chairs and blankets and chill out)
2pm - 3pm Book signing: co-authors Tom Ward, Bowen Craig, and Winterville Mayor Dodd Ferrelle will be signing their new book, "WRYB & the Race to the Melting Pot," at the old white Gazebo
Plus! Head over the Country Doctors Museum for a scavenger hunt - first 50 to complete will win a prize!

Get your festival guide in this week’s Flagpole Magazine! We know there’s some rain in the forecast for Saturday and we’re hoping for the best. Marigold Festival is a RAIN or SHINE event. If it does rain, some activities may be impacted, but we'll still be here celebrating! So bring your raincoat and umbrella and join the party (unless it doesn't rain, in which case, you can leave your rain gear at home).
