Meet the owner of Strange Events, Renee!👋👋 She was born and raised in Fryeburg, Maine! When she is not working, she enjoys gardening, playing with her chickens, refinishing furniture and enjoying all the seasons Maine has to offer!
She never thought she would run her own business (and kick a$$ at it☺️)! She said, "I never imagined I'd be a boss, figuring out how to run a business and really enjoying it all!"❤️ She also says, "Outsiders don't know how much work it takes to organize all the pieces of this puzzle. Owning a wedding business isn't just fun and games (or parties). It's also insurance, legalities, working with many personalities at once, financials, investments, networking, staying relevant, social media and more! It's harder than many might think running a business in the glamorous world of weddings!"💪 She did exclaim that her favorite thing about being a coordinator is when the couple (or often parents) say, "We couldn't have done this without you!" She explains, "For me, that takes the cake and gives me the reason for doing what I do!"💕
If Renee could give her younger self advice it would be, "Listen to your gut and heart. Don't let judgement of others hold you back from what you want. You are capable of anything!"😘
