The Reception.
The bride always knew she wanted to have her wedding at her childhood home, so selecting a venue was easy.
Then came design and layout.
When we first started planning, I remember Millie saying, “I don’t want anything in the backyard that feels like it wouldn’t already be there.” And then it all clicked - she truly wanted a backyard wedding. Nothing over-the-top, just inviting all their favorite people to the house to celebrate together.
Then everything fell into place.
We created a seating area over the pool for guests to eat and visit. We added a stage and dance area for the band to perform. We added bars and food stations throughout for guests to eat and drink all night long. We added soft market lights to create just the right ambience. And we watched with awe as “flowered” everything from bars and tables to balconies and columns. It was the most beautiful version of their backyard we could have imagined, but still comfortable and inviting for the bride, groom, and their favorite people to enjoy from beginning to end.
