CABO BOING
PROBLEMS

CABO BOING is the solo project of Brian Esser, formerly of the experimental duo Yip-Yip. Emerging from Florida’s underground music scene, Cabo Boing fuses chaotic energy, absurdist humor, and hyperactive synth-punk into a wildly unique sonic experience. With a sound that blends unhinged electronic melodies, playful vocals, and jittery rhythms, Cabo Boing has carved out a distinct space in the world of experimental music.

//
PROBLEMS is a one-person project by Chicagoan Darren Keen. He makes composer driven electronic music that is sometimes very fun and is sometimes very beautiful and is always interesting. Darren has played with Peaches, Dan Deacon, Wolf Eyes, Black Plague, and Lightning Bolt. His new 12” LP “Enter The Annals” was released this year on The Record Machine.

Welcome to The Dining Room

The Dining Room is a project space in Winter Park, Florida, for experimental/noise/free jazz and performance and sound art. It is hosted by Jonas Van den Bossche and Rachel Kinbar, recent transplants to the area from Europe.

For attendees: The Dining Room is a performance space in a private home. Please be mindful of the property and the neighbors. There is street parking available, but do not park on both sides and do not block driveways. There is a cat named Noodle. Smoking is not allowed inside the house. BYOB. Bring cash. The performances are free, but we strongly encourage donations for the performers and/or buying merch. Thank you for being open minded and for your support!

For performers (musicians, dancers, writers, etc.): We’re not looking to be another live venue. The Dining Room is intended as a project space where people from diverse backgrounds can come together to collaborate and improvise and try out new things. That doesn’t mean we’ll never host actual groups or allow solo performances, but the main idea here is definitely collaboration! Get in touch if that sounds interesting to you.
