Taking the Drama Out of your Wedding Day
Weddings are famous for being a time of extreme joy and happiness, as well as high stress and anxiety. To keep calm, there are a few steps you can take during the planning stages to make certain that you remain happy--even if your day has a few snags and bumps along the way.

First of all, get plenty of rest. A tired bride makes a grouchy bride. Be sure to get some shut eye to help keep any "Bride-zilla" tendencies away. You'll be happy and the people around you will be happy as well.

Learn to delegate. Having a team of reliable family and friends around you who are willing to help you will alleviate a lot of your anxiety. You know those girls who gladly said “yes” when asked if they wanted to be a bridesmaid? They aren’t called “maids” or attendants for nothing. They are there to attend to your needs and help and support you on your special day, not just look good in their bridesmaid’s dresses.

Despite our best intentions, miscommunications can occur and tempers will flare. To avoid saying things that you may regret later and to keep your wedding party from doing the same, consider taking a time-out. When a situation starts to feel it is getting out of hand and you are going to lose your cool, take a 10 or 20 minute time out. This will give everyone involved to reflect and make sure that the friendship remains intact.

And lastly, be patient with your soon-to-be husband. Men don't typically feel the same rush of excitement over shades of blue, floral designs, and registering for gifts. In fact, the only part of the process they can really involve themselves in are the appointments for the food and cake tasting. Try not to get upset and take your anger out on him if he doesn't seem as excited as you are. He is excited, but he probably has a different way of showing it. Take a deep breath and remember that he is in love with you and has committed to being with you when you get there!

Why I Love a First Look

That first moment a couple sees one another on their wedding day carries a kind of old‑world magic. Though tradition favors the aisle reveal, many couples now choose a secluded “first look” before the ceremony — and it’s a trend that feels beautifully
intimate.

A Quiet Moment Together

A first look gives you something rare on a wedding day: a quiet moment just for the two of you. With everything moving so quickly, it’s a chance to pause, breathe, and simply be together before the celebration sweeps you up. It’s intimate, grounding, and often one of the only moments you’ll share alone all day.

Genuine Reactions

Away from the gaze of the crowd, a first look invites couples to simply feel. The tender tears, the soft laughter, the embrace that lingers — these unscripted reactions are beautifully real, and they often become some of the most treasured photographs of the day.

Eases Pre-Ceremony Nerves

There’s something soothing about seeing your beloved before the ceremony. It steadies the heart and softens the nerves. Many couples find that after their first look, they feel more at ease and fully ready to walk into the day hand in hand.

More Time for Photos

A first look opens the door for more than just a tender reveal — it allows us to capture your portraits, your wedding party, and even family photos before the ceremony begins. With so much done ahead of time, your post‑ceremony timeline becomes wonderfully open, giving you more space to celebrate and be present with your guests.

Will it Take Away from my Aisle Moment

One of the things brides ask me most often is, “Will it take away from that moment when I walk down the aisle?” The truth is: not in the slightest. That walk is still its own breathtaking world — the music rising, the hush that falls over the room, the emotion gathering in every face turned toward you. If anything, it becomes even richer, because you’ve already shared a quiet, grounding moment together, and now you’re stepping into the ceremony with hearts already open and connected.

The Choice is Yours ~ There’s no single script you’re meant to follow

Every couple moves through their wedding day in their own way, and there’s no single script you’re meant to follow. But if the idea of a first look has even brushed your thoughts, it’s worth lingering with it. When couples choose it, it often becomes one of the most tender, heart‑steadying moments of the entire day — a quiet breath before the celebration, a memory that glows long after everything else has faded.

Practicing Self-Care on Your Wedding Day
Your wedding day will be a day filled with emotions, from feelings of excitement, anticipation, pure joy as well as anxiety and stress. On your wedding day, taking care of yourself is essential to ensure you feel your best. That is why is important to take care of yourself and practice self-care in the days leading up to your big day. Here are some helpful ways you can “pamper” yourself, so you are ready to take that walk down the aisle stress-free.

~ Feel Your Feelings: If’s okay to acknowledge stress or any other emotion you might be experiencing. Allow yourself to feel and process them.

~Stay Hydrated: While you may be tempted to indulge in celebratory drinks, don’t forget to drink water. Staying hydrated is crucial for overall well-being.

~ Exercise: A good workout can help release endorphins and reduce stress.

~ Nourish Your Body: Choose foods that make you feel good. Balanced meals will keep your energy levels up throughout the day.

~ Get Adequate Sleep: Prioritize rest the night before your wedding. Lack of sleep can affect your mood and overall experience.

~ Limit Stressors: Minimize exposure to anything or anyone that causes unnecessary stress. Delegate tasks to ask for help when needed.

How Heartfelt Words Make Your Wedding Ceremony Unforgettable

In a wedding ceremony, words become more than sound. They cradle emotion, trace the contours of a love story, and open a space where everyone present is invited to feel the moment unfolding — not simply witness it. They turn a gathering into something sacred, something shared, something unforgettable.

Let’s Work Together to Create the Ceremony That Reflects the Heart of Your Journey

The spark, the laughter, the effortless way you fit together — all of that brought you here. And now that you’ve found your perfect partner, it’s time to find the person who will help you bring your ceremony to life.

Your wedding ceremony is a once‑in‑a‑lifetime moment, and we will spend meaningful time together crafting it with intention. You deserve someone who truly understands you — your energy, your humor, your tenderness — and can tell your story in a way that feels genuine. Not scripted. Not cookie‑cutter. Just beautifully, unmistakably you.

Honesty and authenticity are at the heart of our journey. I’m not here to write your story — you’ve already done that in the way you love each other. I’m here to help you share that story with the people who matter most, in a way that feels true, heartfelt, and unforgettable.

Together, we’ll create a ceremony experience that lingers long after the day is done — one as unique and extraordinary as the love that brought you here.

Finding Your Perfect Officiant

Choosing the right officiant can often get overlooked during the wedding planning process but it is an important detail not to forget. The officiant you choose will not only have a huge influence on the tone of the ceremony, but act as a communicator of your style and belief system. She is not just a vendor, and selecting an officiant is not the same as selecting flowers or DJ. While it may and should include a business agreement, it is also a very sacred agreement. She is the facilitator of the most important aspect of your wedding; the ceremony; and you will share an intimate moment in time together. I see the relationship between the couple and the officiant as more of a partnership and believe both should treat the process and relationship respectfully.

Find someone you are Comfortable With:
Seek someone who makes you feel so at ease on so many levels that you can relax on your wedding day, knowing that you will be taken care of. You want the person who facilitates and guides this important milestone in your life to be someone you both feel confident about; someone who makes no judgments about your union and whose only concern is providing you with a ceremonial experience that exceeds your expectations and is all you want it to be. It would be wonderful to work with a wedding officiant who is caring and willing to get to know you.

Understanding your Style
Envision for a moment how you want your ceremony to feel like. Serious? Humorous? Romantic? Your wedding officiant will set the tone for the ceremony, so it is very important for you to understand and convey the style you are looking for to them. Wedding officiants do more than help you exchange your vows with one another. They are there to elaborate on the love you share with each other, and the lasting commitment you are about to make. Lastly, they are there to share a sense of direction to the adventure the two of you are about to set out on.

I would love to officiate your ceremony. Check out my website,

Are You Getting a Ring for Christmas

It’s easy to feel like love is in the air during the holiday season—because it is. Whether it’s all that holiday cheer or being together with family and friends, it’s no secret that couples like getting engaged over the holidays. In fact, about 40 percent of engagements occur between November and February, giving it the nickname “proposal season.” Here are a few good reasons for a holiday engagement.

Your Friends and Family Will Already Be Around.

What’s the first thing you have to do after you get engaged? Tell your friends and family, of course! One of the big advantages of getting engaged during the holiday season is that you won’t have to send out any large group texts. Instead, you can pop over to their houses with the big news or get together with some of your BFFs and celebrate over dinner while you’re in town. While telling your friends and family over social media or text message that you’ve gotten engaged is exciting, but there’s nothing like telling them in person—where everyone can see the ring and hear all the little details of the proposal.

You’ll Have Excellent Photo Opportunities

Another advantage of getting engaged over the holiday season is that everything in town is a bit more dressed up thanks to all of the garlands, twinkle lights, and Christmas trees, which will make for stunning engagement photos to share. Plus, you can have that perfect ring pose right in front of the big family Christmas tree— what is a more perfect setting!

It’s a Built-in Surprise Gift

If you are the one proposing, there’s really is no better time to surprise them with a ring than during the holiday season. This is your chance to get creative, and there are certainly a lot of Romantic ways that you could present the ring to them such as wrapping it up in a large box or simply getting down on one knee after they are done opening up the rest of their presents. However you choose to do it, you can sure it won’t be a gift they’ll soon forget.

The Holidays Will Be More Meaningful

What better way to celebrate families coming together than to commit yourself to starting a new one? Although you may not be celebrating your engagement anniversary every year, there’s no doubt that the holidays will always hold a special spot in your heart and, while your wedding anniversary may eventually steal the show, you can always take a moment and celebrate your engagement date—even it’s just a quick kiss under the mistletoe.

But Let’s Face it—it’s So Romantic

The hustle and bustle, the decorations in the stores and in homes, the parties and the abundance of warm and cozy fireplaces all make for a romantic time. And although you may not be the only ones getting engaged this time of year, it doesn’t make it any less special for the two of you.
