When a flowers is cut — whether it’s from a farm 3 miles away or flow in from Ecuador, Kenya, Japan, or Holland — it goes into a kind of deep sleep. Its biological clock pauses the moment it’s cut and cooled.

Most flower shops wake their flowers up as soon as they arrive: unwrap, strip, cut, hydrate — then out again to arrange, back to cooler, out to show a costumer, back to the cooler. Every touch speeds that clock up a little more. By the time a “ready to go” arrangement reaches you, it’s often been handled five or more times — and aged accordingly.
We do things differently at Bouquet Boutique by Florentia. Every stem that comes into our shop gets exactly one cut, straight into water and into the cooler — still fast asleep. It doesn’t wake up until it’s being arranged for your specific order.
One and a half touches. That’s our whole process.
