Making your family photo shot list may not be glamorous, but it will make your wedding day run smoother than you can imagine.

Here’s how to make it painless and actually helpful!

Assign a family wrangler on each side�Choose someone who knows the family. This person becomes your photographers MVP!
�Each grouping takes about 2-3 minutes, (yes, really). A list of 25 groupings = nearly an hour of photos. Trim it down to what actually matters. You can get some great extended family groupings during the reception!
�Don’t let this be a surprise. Share it with everyone involved so they know when and where they’re needed. This avoids the “where’s Uncle Bob?” delay.
�Start with your largest groupings and work your way down. It’s much faster to release people than to track them down later.
�Divorces, sensitivities, or unique situations? Plan for them ahead of time so no one feels uncomfortable in the moment.

Trust your planner and photographer�We’ve done this before, we’ll help keep it efficient, organized, and (dare we say) even enjoyable.

At the end of the day, this list isn’t about logistics, it’s about making sure the people you love most are captured forever.
