💜Walk For Carrie💜
Please share this so everyone has an idea of what to expect!!!
Schedule of events:
11:00 AM- WALK BEGINS
Participants will gather at Little Red Barn and begin the walk at 11:00 AM. (Reminder not to park in the little red barn lot itself)
The walk will follow Main Street, you can pick up along the route, utilizing designated crosswalks along the route. (Please stop at all crosswalks and allow traffic to pass as we don't want to congest the road)
The walk will end at the Ryan Softball Field on Rowley St. where participants will join the community gathering. You will enter through the driveway on Rowley St. After Rowley Business lot. (Please do not park in this area as the businesses are still open and operating. The lot across the street at mirabitos is open for parking but once again please be respectful)
Soccer is also going on in the Rowley field that day as well as a birthday party in the green building so please do not park in the rec lot by the green building. You can park in the back cemetery lot or at Hinsdale or Pearson Schools or the WACC lots as well as the commuter lot BEHIND little red barn on Meadow St. CARPOOLING IS RECOMMENDED!
12:30–1:00 PM- WELCOME & REMEMBRANCE
Once everyone has arrived the formal event will begin.
💜 Welcome & Thank You
We will begin with a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came together to walk in memory of Carrie and in support of her children and domestic violence awareness.
Moment of Silence for Carrie (there will be little bags at the gate with pins and a candle approximately 200)
The microphone will then be turned over to Nancy Mueller, who will share some words for Carrie's children and discuss the Carrie's Light Scholarship Fund.
1:00–3:00 PM- COMMUNITY GATHERING
The community gathering will take place on the Ryan Ballfield on Rowley St.
Everyone is invited to enjoy food, music, vendors, activities, and time together.
2:30 PM- RAFFLE DRAWING
3:00 PM- EVENT CONCLUSION
