It is with heavy hearts that we announce our next "give back" day (weeks actually)
Our hearts are with all of the families that have been affected by the Nippon Tragedy. I think we can all agree that all of us are connected in one way or another with someone that works at Nippon, so I know that it is more than just families grieving at this time, we are all grieving.
Being a small business, we try to take small steps to make big impacts on the communities around us. For the next several weeks a portion of our sales (including caters) will be donated to the account at the Longshoremen's Credit Union for the families of the Nippon incident.
We are also trying to coordinate how to get meals down each day that we are open to a few of the families as well in an effort to give them time to grieve with their families and not have to worry about what's for dinner. That being said, please be patient with us as we dont know just how big those families are or how much food to prepare. Therefore, we may sell out earlier than usual.
Please join us in taking small steps to help out in big ways!
We will keep you updated on amounts raised and are looking forward to providing a little relief in this terrible time.
If you would like to make a donation yourself, you can do so here or at the Longshoremen's Credit Union. Just tell them you want to donatento the families at Nippon.
This is our last day open this week, but we will be back open next wednesday.
