It’s my birthday 🥳 So here’s a little about the girl behind the camera…
This past year has been a BIG one for me.
I’ve lost over 120 pounds and learned that I’m capable of doing really hard things. I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time at the gym, completely changed so many of my habits, and I’m still working toward becoming the healthiest version of myself.
I had my gallbladder removed this summer, because apparently I needed to add surgery to the schedule between weddings 😂
I’ve watched my babies grow another year older. Carter turned 7, Link is somehow almost TWO, and most days I’m just trying to figure out how time is moving this fast. I’ve spent my evenings at soccer fields, karate, appointments, therapies, bedtime routines and all the normal chaos that comes with being their mom.
Jason and I celebrated 8 years of marriage this month. We’ve built a family, a home and a business together, and somehow we can still spend an entire wedding day working side by side and come home liking each other. 😂
I’ve worked my Monday-Friday job, photographed weddings on weekends, edited late at night, answered emails from my phone, packed camera bags, unpacked camera bags, raised two boys and tried to remember somewhere in there that I’m also a person outside of being a mom, wife, employee and photographer.
This year wasn’t perfect. It was busy, exhausting, exciting, hard and really, really good.
I’m proud of how much I’ve changed this year. Not just physically, but in the way I’ve started showing up for myself, too.
So here’s to another trip around the sun. 🥳
More memories. More adventures. More time with my boys. More weddings. More growth. And hopefully significantly fewer organs being removed. 😂🤍
