On this Day of the Dead Holiday Weekend, I want to thank everyone for their amazing positivity reflecting our 20+ year history of creating community through authentic art and puppetry experiences! As you know, we are not involved in this year with the Fort Lauderdale event but we all send the park and club well wishes for a safe and fun evening!

Also big thanks to all of the generous clients and festivals that have been hiring Puppet Network and Florida DAY of the DEAD all month long to bring our community of puppets to their events. Last night our team had a blast performing at the Lincoln Road/Miami Beach Halloween Bash!

There are TWO final locations you can see (and take photos with) our puppets this weekend:
- TONIGHT at the Mexican Consulate's Dia de los Mu***os Festival from 4:30-8pm in Coral Gables!
- SAT/SUN experience our giants puppets on exhibition this final weekend at Miami Brewing Company next to Schnebly Winery in the Redlands in Homestead!

Also for our friends from Palm Beach area who may not make it to Coral Gables today, one more shout out to the Lake Worth Dia de los Mu***os Festival for another authentic experience that is also community driven and run by great friends!

So it’s been 10 days since the big Fort Lauderdale Flood and it’s becoming clearer what we have lost from the Puppet Network Studio.

Beyond losing over 80% of our puppetry collection, we had a huge amount of tools, materials and equipment that were under 3 feet of water for days. Several friends have asked what is needed to begin rebuilding our puppets so here is a list from Amazon. They range from $5 sewing/painting supplies to a table saw plus canopy/tables/chairs for our group papier-mâché workshops where we will rebuild the giants.

We are hoping to be up and running by this year’s Day of the Dead hence the November 2nd deadline. Thanks for your support and generosity in reviewing this list as we begin the multi year process of rebuilding…
