Greetings from Rhonda!
Rumors have been circulating and I want you to hear this straight from me – without any twists!
Twisted Cuisine has been for sale for some time now. My daughter blessed me with my first Grandchild a year ago, and I want to be a bigger part of his life. That’s hard to do when you are running a restaurant and catering – the schedule is never the same day to day. I am excited to share that I have accepted an offer to purchase the building and our restaurant equipment. While I cannot share additional details at this time, I will tell you that I feel a sense of joy knowing I get to pass this little restaurant on to the next person. Owning and operating a small business has been the hardest and most rewarding thing I have done other than being a mom, and now a grandma.
What does this mean for our friends, family, and loyal guests? While the timeline is not definite yet, it looks like we will be “Twisted” until early spring. You’ll get to enjoy a final Valentine’s Day with us, and we will go out with a bang for Restaurant Week! We are encouraging everyone to make reservations (even on weeknights) to ensure that you’ll have a seat with us and that we can staff appropriately. Our entire staff will be staying with us to the end, or as long as they choose. We are grateful for this, as many have been with us since the early days. We all want to see as many of your smiling faces as possible over the next several weeks. So come enjoy food prepared by Chef Erica, Logan, Ally, and I. Visit Byron and your favorite bartender or waitstaff. Twisted is as much yours as it is mine. We are a Twisted Family!
Also, use up those gift cards now – the new owner will be transitioning to a new concept, so once we are closed, gift cards will not be honored. That said, if you want to buy a gift card for someone to use at Twisted Cuisine while we are here, we suggest getting a Visit Kenosha Universal Gift Card at VisitKenosha.com – we accept them and so do many other local restaurants, stores, and attractions. This will ensure your recipient can use their gift even if they don’t get to Twisted before our sale is completed.
Additionally, it is important to share that I will still be offering catering services as Twisted Cuisine. I’ve worked out some options to use commercial kitchens in the area so that I can fulfill current commitments, as well as take on a few jobs as I transition away from the restaurant. I love cooking for people, and I am not ready to walk away from special events entirely. This will be the best of both worlds. I hope you’ll still choose the Twisted name for your upcoming events.
As soon as I am able, I will share more information about our transition plan and more heartfelt thanks for the 17+ years of crazy here. Until then, I look forward to seeing you at the restaurant.
With love, gratitude, and pride,
Rhonda Bell
