I took a little break—and honestly, my body, brain, and babies really needed it 🫶🏽

I’m still soaking up these last weeks of summer with the kids (while popping into the shop here and there), but I can feel the creative itch coming back… big time. I’m craving more time to play in the worlds I love most—food, flowers, family, and hosting.

Workshops have always been a total labor of love, but lately they haven’t been drawing the same crowd—and that’s okay! But I do know many of you are still eager to be part of one, so I wanted to share a few new ideas I’ve been dreaming up. If any of these light you up, let me know. Truly—no one’s got time (or budget) for flopped events these days, so your feedback means everything.

Episode: Overstimulated

I was watching a show the other night and—out of nowhere—it just hit me:
This phase of life is not where most of us thrive… it’s where we survive.

The bottom line is that a lot of adults don’t really hit their stride—personally or professionally—until their kids reach the age where they can take care of themselves. And honestly? That felt like a gut punch of truth.

I’ve spent years trying to give 100% to being a mom, a wife, and a business owner… and the honest truth? I’ve dropped the ball on all of them at different times.
There’s no such thing as balance right now—there’s only doing your best with what’s left in the tank.

This wedding season absolutely wrecked me. I worked 14-hour days, barely saw my kids, and when I did, I was so overstimulated I could hardly enjoy the moments. I’ve lost weight, lost what feels like 60% of my hair, and definitely lost parts of myself trying to keep it all running—flowers, family, finances, expectations.

And it’s not just the mental load—it’s the actual noise. The nonstop chaos. The constant questions. The logistics. The conversations with the big dogs about all the cringey things. The meltdowns. The baby bonking her head. The “Mom, I need this RIGHT NOW.” The laundry. The groceries. The cleaning. The wiping. THE DIAPERS. The guilt. The pressure. The endless list of everything I’m supposed to be doing to raise kind, well-fed, emotionally regulated kids… while also trying to be a creative visionary and keep a business alive in a saturated industry.

I love it all deeply. I wouldn’t trade it. But my Goodness, it’s a lot.
And it’s heavy. All the time.

So if you’re out there trying to do it all and barely holding it together—same.
This season is not light. But maybe, we don’t need to be either. Maybe the most honest thing we can do is name it, cry in the car, and keep going anyway.
