CJ went above and beyond to aid his Jeff Gordon Chevrolet family in preparation of and after Hurricane Florence. A few of our local partners have begun their cleanup process and are starting their efforts reaching out to others in our community. If you are looking for a way to help, Nourish NC will be posting what food and necessities they need the most and how you can get it to them.

Update: Today we cleaned up and repaired the NourishNC warehouse. We will start distributing food to our kids and their families over the next few days. Many of you have asked how you can help:
1) We need food. Our most wanted items right now are peanut butter and jelly, bread or saltine crackers, bumble bee tuna/chicken snack kits, hearty stews or soup’s, granola bars and trail mix, pasta and pasta sauce, cereal and any ready to eat meals. Food can be dropped off or mailed to 601 Greenfield St. Out operating hours are sporadic so please text at 910-465-0995 before dropping off.
2) Cash donations can be made here https://nourishnc.org/donate/ or mailed to 601 Greenfield St., Wilmington NC 28401
3) We will need lots of helping hands and will put all requests for volunteers on our page so stay tuned. Continue to take care of each other Wilmington.

Happy First Day Back to School for many of our local students! The start of the school year also means the return of the school buses on our roadways.

Brush up on your safe driving skills when encountering a school bus, and do your part to keep our kids safe and happy this school year! Thank you to the North Carolina Department of Transportation for this reminder!

Here is the story of Ethen:

Ethen was diagnosed in early April 2017 at 13 months old with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma and has undergone rigorous treatment for the past year at Levine Children's Hospital. Ethen endured 5 rounds of chemotherapy, multiple surgeries including tumor removal, stem cell transplant, weeks of radiation, and 2.5 rounds of antibody therapy. He has recently finished his treatment protocol, and after follow up scans, he will hopefully be enrolled in a two-year clinical trial to reduce his risk of relapse. We are happy to say that Ethen just turned 2 in March and loves being home more with Daddy, Mommy and his two older siblings, Hudson and Mikayla.

Hudson and Mikayla wanted to draw a thank you card to show appreciation for people like you who are helping in the fight to end childhood cancer. Their card is attached.

It’s battles like Ethen is facing that motivate Jeff, Jeff Gordon, Inc. and the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation to make programs such as Corvette For A Cure have the greatest impact possible.
