Please join us for Eau de Bel Canto, a live recital on August 15th at 4:00 PM at Covenant Community Center, 503 Duncan Road, Wilmington, DE!

We are delighted to welcome back tenor Noah Donahue, who made his Wilmington Concert Opera debut in "Les contes d'Hoffmann!' He is joined by pianist Andrea DeVito, who makes her Wilmington Concert Opera debut in this concert. Special guest soprano Olivia Broderick returns to WCO after her debut in "Hänsel und Gretel." This recital features gems of the Bel Canto period and beyond.

We are delighted to be able to continue Wilmington Concert Opera's recital series, which originated as a response to the pandemic with virtual recitals. We are grateful to Dr. William Lee and Mrs Dawn Schlotterer, who originally funded this series.

Suggested donation for this concert is $20 per person. The concert is open to the public and is family-friendly. Please join us. All are welcome, regardless of ability to donate.

We are delighted to welcome Cherokee mezzo-soprano Kate Morton in her Wilmington Concert Opera debut! Kate will be portraying the role of Loksi' in "Loksi' Shaali'," after having originated the role with Canterbury Voices in Oklahoma City.

“Loksi' Shaali'“ is a new opera which tells the story of how the Chickasaw people received turtle shells for stomp dancing and ceremonies. The first opera to be sung and premiered entirely in a US tribal language, Wilmington Concert Opera brings together principals from the world premiere, as well as new local or Indigenous singers to round out the cast. This groundbreaking work is created by composer/librettist Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate, with Chickasaw translation by Joshua D. “Lokosh” Hinson. WCO will showcase highlights from the opera, and will feature operatic singers of the Cherokee, Choctaw, Mvskoke, Pueblo of Acoma, Taíno, and Tiwa Nations and heritages. Wilmington Concert Opera, a women and minority founded and run company, focuses on accessibility and inclusion, and is proud to produce the Delaware premiere of music from Loksi' Shaali'.
Performances are to be held at Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew, 719 N. Shipley St. Wilmington, DE 19801. Performance Dates are May 14, 2026 at 8:00 PM and May 16, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Both concerts are open to the public. Tickets for the May 14th performance are available to Opera America Conference attendees through Opera America, and all other patrons may donate at the door for admission. Suggested donation is $20 per person.

Artist fact: Kat's favorite band is The Beatles.

Join us for our next recital of our 2026 "Strong Women" 10th year anniversary season!

We welcome back soprano Alyssa Brode for "thirtysomething," a recital featuring all works written by composers in their thirties. Alyssa is joined on piano by Kat Bowman, who makes her Wilmington Concert Opera debut with this performance!

This free event is family-friendly and open to the public. Our recital series began as a response to the pandemic with virtual options, funded by Dr. William Lee Schlotterer and Mrs. Dawn Schlotterer. We are delighted to now offer both live and online options and continue to showcase wonderful performers in a recital setting.

Please join us at 6 PM on March 7th in the Sanctuary of Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 503 Duncan Road, Wilmington, DE 19809.

The suggested donation is $20 per person at the door for those who are able to contribute. All are welcome, regardless of ability to donate.
