From Bumble to the Ballroom

Jocelyn and Greg met in the stillness of the pandemic when patio dates felt sacred and connection meant everything. Their love grew through quiet hikes, winter beach walks, and the joy of simply being together. Different in rhythm—he rises with the sun, she dreams past midnight—they’ve always moved in harmony. So when it came time to say “I do,” there was no question: it had to be Wilmington, the city where their story took root. In October 2024, they celebrated with 145 loved ones and a ceremony led by Joce’s uncle. Guests recorded audio files on a vintage phone, and weeks after the wedding the couple was met with a flood of heartfelt and hilarious messages. One friend took it to the next level, reciting sixteen Shakespearean sonnets—yes, sixteen!—and finishing with an original he penned just for them. Another guest gifted them a hand-calligraphed volume of Shakespeare’s works completely unplanned. They weren’t huge Shakespeare fans before, but now? He’s forever part of their love story.
