The classy folks who run one of downtown's great event spaces are taking on a brand-new venue right across the street. It's bringing new life to a historic building that's been vacant for several years. Looking forward to the opening!

Here's a fascinating new idea for brides: A comfortable private lounge downtown, a place to dress for your wedding, or for a formal photography session; a place where your bridal party can get ready; a spot for the groom to chill and watch the game while all the ladies are getting dressed! We've been through the Cape Fear Wedding Show photos taken by the very talented team, M² Productions, and wow... we've some excellent photos to share. Look for some starting tomorrow ... I'll be including photos of both brides, attendees and the wedding professionals.
BTW: I want to tag everyone, especially businesses, when I post something about them on FB. But sometimes -- even though I can find their FB page, it does not show up on the list FB provides when I try to tag them (with the '@' symbol). Does anyone know how to do this, so it works if I have their complete page ID? And do not have to depend on FB providing a list for me to choose from?

We talked to several brides today, a day after the Cape Fear Wedding Show. "The first thing I did this morning," one bride said,
"was to call Azalea Limousine Service to find out how much it costs to rent that Rolls Royce." She was not the only one who was impressed not only with the car, but with the entire fleet of luxury vehicles that lined the entire back wall of the Wilmington, NC Convention Center ! P.S. A special thanks to Wes May of Platinum Limousine, Inc. for bringing his colleagues together at the last moment for the bridal show. We would not have had the fabulous display of luxury vehicles at the event if not for Wes (and some were even his competitors!). Wes May and Platinum Limousine are a perfect example of how good people work together in our wonderful town.
