Biggers Market was an incredible host and their pumpkins are absolutely amazing.

Next pumpkin workshop is Saturday, October 17th at 11am at Bigger’s again!

Another beautiful color palette for a late Summer wedding 💐

I’m talking through my design process as I create the arrangement, so you can get a better understanding of the logic behind where I place each stem—and why I make certain choices to create depth and movement throughout the design.

You may also notice a few techniques you’ve seen if you’ve taken one of my workshops, like how to remove a stem when you need to make it shorter or reposition it within the arrangement. Stems can get stuck, and a simple twist-and-pull motion is often all it takes to loosen them without disrupting the rest of the design.

I hope you feel inspired!

A Christmas garland with a little structure is a great base for securing faux fall florals and creating a beautiful, layered look.

When choosing what to add, I always start with my color palette and build from there. For this mantle, I made sure to include elements that bring:

✨ Line — to create movement and guide the eye
✨ Texture — to add interest and dimension
✨ Round shapes — to create focal points and balance

The key to a beautiful mantle is choosing pieces that work together while giving the eye different things to discover.

Start with your palette, layer in different shapes and textures, and let the design come together.

Where you place your stems in a tape grid does make a difference as to how your flowers sit in the vase.

Placing a flower on the edge of the tape grid can allow for a stronger angle. While placing the stem more in the center, make makes the angle more upright.

Give it a try and see if you see the difference 💐

A garden-style arrangement isn’t about making every flower fit perfectly—it’s about creating movement and letting the flowers feel natural. 🌸

3 things I always keep in mind:

🌿 Vary the heights — not every flower needs to sit at the same level. Tuck some flowers lower into the design.

🌸 Mix flower sizes — combine large focal blooms with smaller flowers to create depth and interest.

🌱 Let some flowers reach outside the shape. Those little “wild” moments are what make an arrangement feel like it was just gathered from the garden.

Kat was every bit as sweet as she was stunning, and an absolute pleasure to work with. So grateful to have created these flowers for such a special celebration. 💐💍🤍
