Calling All Williston, ND! ✨ Our Grand Culinary Contest - Part 2 is HERE!
The excitement for our grand opening is building, thanks to the incredible talent of bakers and chefs in our community! Now, we invite you, the heart of Williston, ND, to join us for The Grand Challenge – Part Two! 👑
For this next exciting step, our local culinary artists are preparing their most exquisite original recipes to be featured in our September afternoon tea service ☕️🍰.
We're looking for your best creations in each of the following four categories, with a special emphasis on the amazing bounty of North Dakota:
1. A Perfect Scone: An original recipe (sweet or savory) that pairs beautifully with tea, perhaps featuring North Dakota grains or dairy. 🌸
2. An Elegant Tea Sandwich: A creative and refined, bite-sized sandwich, showcasing flavors and produce native to our region. 🥪
3. A Delicious Savory Bite: A unique, small savory pastry or individual creation perfect for afternoon tea, spotlighting local meats or vegetables from our bountiful lands.
4. A Delicate Sweet Treat: A refined and flavorful individual sweet pastry, cake, or confection, celebrating the sweetness derived from local sources. 🧁
To Our Talented Bakers & Chefs of Williston, ND – How to Enter Part Two:
In the comments below, please submit the following for EACH of your four creations:
*Photos: At least one high-quality photo of your finished item. 📸
*Original Recipe: include ingredients but no precise measurements 😊 Please highlight any Williston or North Dakota local ingredients you've used. 📜
*Description: A brief VIDEO summary (2-3 sentences) explaining why it's unique, how it celebrates local ingredients and the spirit of North Dakota, and how it pairs with premium tea.
License Status: IMPORTANT! Please tell us if you operate under Cottage Food Law or if you have a licensed food business. 📋
The submission deadline is August 8th, 2025 by 5pm⏳ This is your chance to be celebrated at Williston, ND's newest gathering spot, gaining full credit and promotion for your business, all while championing our very own local provisions! ✨
