A bouquet with a twist 😍 Instead of matching florals, this bride gave each bridesmaid one flower from her own bouquet to carry as a full bouquet. One held only roses, another only carnations, each with their own personal variety… the result was chic, playful, and perfectly cohesive.

What’s more fitting than a Petoskey stone at a Petoskey wedding?

The mother of the bride hand-picked these stones for each guest—a meaningful gesture that added both sentiment and texture to the tablescape.

When designing reception layouts, it’s easy to focus on florals, candles, and linens. But the truth is, your table fills up fast. Glassware, pre-plated salads, bread plates, water carafes—they all play a role in the final look.

For this wedding, we blended natural textures with subtle color contrast to create something that felt personal, polished, and completely in place on the lakeshore.

Why do I love detail photos so much?

Over the years, I’ve had a handful of clients say they don’t really care about capturing the little details — the jewelry, the shoes, the perfume. But I’ll always be an advocate for them.

Why? Because these tiny things tell your story.
The scent you wore. The texture of your dress. The flowers that framed your invitation.
They may seem small now, but 30 years down the line, they’ll be the things that take you right back.
Your daughter might not wear your gown, but she might fall in love with your earrings or shoes.
And trends change — these images become time capsules.

Pro tip: Ask your florist for a few extra blooms — they make all the difference in flat lays.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about remembering what made the day yours.

I will never get sick of food being part of wedding design. Ever.
I don’t even want to call it a trend—because to me, it’s timeless. It’s layered, textural, and full of meaning.

This bouquet? A dream.
Full of unruly beauty, unexpected movement, and the kind of elegance that doesn’t try too hard.

If I were getting married tomorrow, I’d carry something like this…
And my reception tables? Baguettes, sourdough loaves, and my famous everything loaf. Because bread is my love language and love should be incorporated into your day, in every way.

Design tip: Food can be functional and decorative.
Edible styling adds warmth and life to a space in a way that florals alone sometimes can’t.

Farmhouse tables don’t always mean rustic.
At , they have two gorgeous wood tables that deserve to shine—and this bride let them.

This couple kept the design romantic with soft florals and candlelight, keeping the focus on texture, warmth, and really fantastic mood lighting.

✨ And now, the great menu debate…
To menu or not to menu? Some couples skip them because guests pre-select meals—but let’s be honest, who actually remembers what they ordered a month ago?

Menus aren’t just informative—they’re part of the table styling. They add texture, layering, and a sense of completion (especially if you’re not using charger plates or patterned napkins).

Personally? I’m a pro-menu girly through and through.
