Our TOWN SOUNDS cast will remember learning about The Dug-Out as part of the research for our play in 2024.

📜 FROM THE ARCHIVES: The Dug-Out, 1942
During WWII, Williamsport published a newsletter for soldiers overseas. One issue challenged readers to identify locals by their NICKNAMES.
Some highlights: Ape Jaw. Trough Mouth. One-Arm Janitor. Chow Wow. Toll Gate. Satchel Face. Pee-wee. Goggles. Turkeybird. Banjo Eyes. Socrates. Squinty. Double Barrel. River Ice. Foggy. Pickles. Eskimo. Toodles. The Diamond.
83 years later? Real River Rats still don't use government names. If you grew up here, you know. Drop your Williamsport nickname below. Newcomers: we'll assign you one.

Congratulations to our WHS choir members who represented our program and school community so beautifully at tonight's All County Chorus concert.

Our thanks to Williamsport High School Blue Band percussionists Jacob Cantor, Brandon Stiles, and Jack Smith for lending their talents on two of our pieces.

Congratulations to soloists Hayden Evans, Jude Meiron, Tommy Wallech, and Zeke Wilson.

We are almost ready for our performance at the Maryland Theatre!

As you know, all of our stuff is tied up with the asbestos removal. We are in need of some hats and scarve to complete the holiday look.

We appreciate the support of our community and hope to see you in December 3rd!

It was a busy day of music-making for the Chamber Singers, who spent the day preparing for their upcoming performance with country singer/songwriter Jessica Lynn at the Maryland Theatre in a few weeks.

Thank you to Jennifer Myren and Wendy Myer for their assistance getting us set up for the morning, and to Lacey Alderton and Nancy Miller who stayed and got all of the kids into their concert attire.

A HUGE thank you to the Williamsport Fire Hall , who let us have their entire space for the day. We are so grateful for our community and their support!

Congratulations to Jude Meiron, Liam Warfield, Tommy Wallech, and Zeke Wilson for representing the WHS Choral Department at this year's Tenor Bass Sing! Invitational at Frostburg State University.

This outstanding group of gentlemen made us proud!

Congratulations to these amazing members of Chamber Singers for their hard work and dedication in preparation for last night's Honors Chorus Festival at Shepherd University.

A special shout out to Tommy Wallech, who participated in the Masterclass. He sang a solo for the entire group and received feedback from the SU voice faculty.

All of the students below were excellent Wildcat ambassadors!
