The hardest part for me as a flower farmer and florist is actually charging my worth for the my designs and labor. But after 3 years of being officially in business, doing taxes has taught me I have to charge my worth! 😅💐💕
I spent years being told I am worthless, I worked for people that mocked the abilities I brought to the table, I worked for free a lot because I didn’t believe I was worth it to charge. Even after years of doing event florals, I have more than once heard “oh that’s almost nice” when I delivered “free” wedding florals.
Breaking free from a legalistic culture 18 years ago has taught me so much and learning to believe in yourself is something that I wished I learned back then as well! It has taken years for me to set boundaries and learn self worth!
