Flora Flower Farm

Flora Flower Farm An organic farm & floral design studio providing gorgeous seasonal blooms for weddings and special events in the Rogue and Applegate Valleys.

Flora is a family farm that focuses on growing cut flowers and flower seeds. We select highly desirable cultivars that are prized by brides and designers; we harvest our cut flowers at their peak beauty; we are always on the look-out for unusual and new varieties; and we enjoy the shared creative process of growing a particular flower crop with our clients in mind.

***CERTIFIED ORGANIC Dahlia tubers go on sale November 15th!***Today begins the pre-order period for securing dahlias for your garden next year. With over 20 varieties available of the dahlias which I rely on for wedding designs, wholesale grocery customers, and weekly bouquet subscriptions, I can assure you that these are the stems that last longest in the vase, have unique colors, or produce prolifically for me in the field (and sometimes combine all 3 attributes). Check out the link in my profile to my little online store. Your purchase makes my small farm possible!

There are lots of ways to be in the world. When I think about how to spend my time, I can think of hundreds of meaningful tasks, projects, dialogues, podcasts, books, and other activities that I could engage. But when I don’t know what to do, when I feel stuck, I seek out beauty. And when I feel inspired, I seek out beauty. And when I want to gather with others, I seek out beauty. In other words, I find the pursuit of beauty to be a lifeline, a balm, soul nourishment. You?

If so, here’s a great opportunity to do something beautiful: I’m offering a Seasonal Wreath Making workshop on 11/9 from 1-3:30 . Come join us! We’ll be crafting dried flower wreaths from botanical materials grown and harvested on my certified organic farm. It’ll be a delightful afternoon with uplifting work, good wine and good people. Follow the link in my profile to sign up.🌿

As Fall begins to crisp the air and color the leaves, what could be better than a final grasp at Summer’s botanical abundance? Come play with gorgeous everlasting flowers, learn a new craft (or improve a familiar one), and sip wine with us Winery. Join Stacey as she leads a seasonal wreath making class with farm-grown organic materials of fabulous colors, textures and aromas on Sunday, November 9th. Bring your creativity and love of flowers to this artisanal experience.

Participants will take home a wreath of their making, develop the skills to make one again, and learn about drying techniques to preserve locally available botanical materials. Catch this class just in time for fall decorating or in preparation for winter gift-giving. A charcuterie sampling from Wooldridge will be included in the class price and wine will be available for purchase. Since this class will take place outside, bring your warm jacket and a pair of floral snips; all other tools and materials will be provided. See link in profile for tickets

Here’s one of my favorite color palettes. These were for yesterday’s weekly bouquet members.

I really enjoy the creative process within each week of the flower CSA: I go out to the field, see what’s looking best and imagine the possible color combinations. There are always more flowers ready than needed to compose each week’s bouquets, so I let color, shape, and volume guide me towards something uniquely different than the weeks prior creations.

One of the great joys of this line of work is accompanying people through important transitions and celebrations. Last weekend I arranged these flowers for Arlene’s memorial. I didn’t know her personally but I loved learning about her life from her family and friends as they marked her passing by all coming together to remember and honor her.
