Part 2 of Olivia & Drake’s engagement session! Have you ever been to Sparky’s? It’s a little ice cream shop in downtown Columbia and the moment I stepped inside I loved it. Super strange (yet amazing) paintings lined the walls and the decor paired perfectly with their eclectic ice cream menu. So glad that we went there! We also visited Billiards on Broadway and got some cute pictures of them playing pool. Really enjoyed this session and can’t wait to photograph their wedding in a couple weeks!

Olivia and Drake’s engagement session in Columbia has to be divided in 2 parts because we did so much and we had a blast! For part of the session we took pictures on the Mizzou campus because it has special significance to their relationship. We found a cute park area as well and even though it was December and the trees and grass don’t have much color, the sunset cast a beautiful glow on everything. They laughed, they played, they showed so much love, and they made my job easy. Part 2 tomorrow!

I told myself, “Cindy just pick a couple of favorites from this session” and here I am with 10+ and these are only the horizontal favorites. Everyone knows how much I adore family sessions and especially when there are a bunch of kids! I love seeing sibling relationships, something funny/chaotic happening every moment, kids piling on mom or dad, with the sounds being a mixture of laughing/crying/singing/arguing. I was an only child and spent every moment I could at my best friend’s house with her and her many siblings. It’s where I was happiest. So I guess it makes sense that these types of sessions bring me the most joy.

This lovely family found me when I had my bounce house sessions and I’m so glad to work with them again. Lots of love and beautiful moments with these guys ❤️

I’ve been editing nonstop, trying to entertain my kids while on break, and attempting to prepare for Christmas which, by the way, snuck up on us. Wasn’t Halloween just last week? 😆
