Black tie at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis. 🖤
There's a quiet worry many couples carry into a formal wedding: Will we look stiff? Will the photos feel as polished as the room, but nothing like us?
That worry is understandable. A black-tie celebration asks a lot of your photographer. The images need to honor the elegance of the setting without losing the warmth of the people in it.
This fall evening was a beautiful example of that balance. Candlelight, deep autumn tones, and a ballroom built for grandeur, with a couple who were completely themselves inside it. My approach is gentle guidance and small tweaks, then stepping back so something real can happen. Every image is edited true to color, so these will look as timeless in thirty years as they do today.
