On this Veterans Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage and dedication are a reminder of the cost of freedom.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." - John 15:13

Today, we honor their memory with deep gratitude. We also lift up in prayer the families who carry their legacy and all those who continue to serve our country. May we always remember their sacrifice and strive to live lives worthy of it.

You may have noticed we’ve been a bit quiet on here lately.

Back in June I lost my dad, he raised me as a single parent from the time I was born, he and I were the best of friends. These past few months have been all about processing that loss, taking time to grieve, and finding my footing again.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out and been so kind and understanding during this time.

My dad was actually the one who encouraged me to start this business. He believed in me from the start and was my biggest cheerleader. I know he’d want me to keep going, and that’s exactly what I’m doing. I’m back and more motivated than ever.

We’ve made a few updates as we move forward: This page will now focus on marketing, website design, and social media content creation. We’ve also launched a new page dedicated to the event side of the business, including photobooth rentals and backdrops. Hi friends! I realized I haven’t officially introduced myself on here, so here we go!

I’m Maci—a follower of Jesus, wife, daughter, friend, and proud dog mom to the cutest little guy. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me working out, exploring the outdoors, traveling, working in the garden, or hunting for new restaurants to try.

I’ve been in the marketing and events world for 10 years now. Originally from Dallas, TX, I moved to Kansas to play college softball and earned my Marketing degree at Friends University (go Falcons!). After graduation, I started my career as a Marketing Assistant and Event Coordinator with one of the Dallas Cowboys’ organizations—a dream job to kick things off!

When COVID hit, life brought me back to Kansas to be closer to my family, and that’s where I met my husband (praise the Lord!). Over the past few years, I’ve worked at a marketing agency partnering with incredible non-profits and for-profit clients, covering a wide range of industries. These experiences shaped me and gave me the courage to take a leap of faith and start my own business, Set Apart Marketing & Events!
