Hey it’s Jovana, your sparkly shoe wearing, mermaid loving event planner! I’m here to remind you that planning events can be stressful and heading into the holidays can add another layer of stress to the situation.
It’s okay to take a break from planning for a few months and just enjoy being engaged and the upcoming celebration with your loved ones.
We do want to make sure you don’t miss any major deadlines, like sending out invitations or booking that amazing vendor. That is where having an event planner comes in handy!
Having an event planner or even a day of coordinator on your vendor roster to help make sure all of the important tasks have been checked off and can help you step away from the planning process for a little while and relax.

Having a plan for transportation is SO important! I find it is often something that is left until right before the event date and sometimes vendors are no longer available.
Things to consider:
🚌How will you and your bridal party arrive to the ceremony location?
🚕How will everyone get to the reception location, if located elsewhere? Where do you park your personal vehicles?
🚎Do you plan to take photos at a different location after the ceremony? If so, how will everyone get there and back?
🏎️How will your guests get back safely after the reception ends?
✈️Where are you spending your wedding night and how will you make your get away?

Sound brings forth the deepest core memories. Having an audio guestbook was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding weekend! Listening to our family and friends share their well wishes and their joys for us is something you can’t replicate. We hosted a listening party and got to experience the audio clips with everyone else. It was amazing! You can also track the time of the evening by the shenanigans that were recorded throughout. A huge thank you to for capturing these memories for us! We love adding you to our vendor list for our Vu Events couples!

Often I feel like the Groom and his crew are a second thought. Many times there is no groom suite to get ready in at the venue. No photographer dedicated to getting all the same photos the bride gets. I have seen it all, so when I got married I made sure my groom and his crew were taken care of. Amazing room to hangout in and photographer to capture it all. But what I didn’t expect was for his barber to go above and beyond to take care of our guys. came to the guy’s suite and made sure that felt his best on his big day. He also took care of the groomsmen. So thankful for the extra love in our wedding day! Hope you had an amazing birthday celebration too! So thankful ❤️💛

Guys! My makeup lasted all day AND night! But that didn’t surprise me, I have worked with for so many years as a model and she has also taken care of so many of my past brides. She is fun, knowledgeable, professional, organized and on time! She also arrives with the best energy and that is always needed and appreciated for an early morning shoot day or wedding day. I’m so thankful she was part of my glam squad and I am so happy she is also headed into her happily ever after era too! ❤️💛

Hair and makeup artists don't just show up, do the job, and leave. We can't just wing it. There is so much more to behind the scenes.
Here are a few things us artists need to book your big day 👇
1️⃣ WEDDING DATE & VENUE
We typically book 1 year in advance and can't hold multiple dates on our calendar. Once your date is set, we can check our availability
2️⃣ GET READY LOCATION
Not all venue locations allow an early start time, so if there is a different getting ready location than the venue, we need to know for timing and travel purposes.
3️⃣ CERMONY TIME
I will give my brides a tentative timeline for the day of. If you don't know when you need to be ready by, we won't know if we have enough time for everyone's service. Check with your photographer if you need help with this.
4️⃣ NUMBER OF SERVICES
This doesn't have to be 100% known by the booking date, but we do need a tentative amount to know if there is enough time for one artist or if an additional artist is needed.
Be sure to know these details when booking so the booking process can be smooth as butter!

Not only has she done my hair for my engagement photos and my wedding day, but Jennifer had been the best hype woman of my life! She supports my dreams and my business and my personal life and hung out on my wedding day to make sure my I DO CREW was on point for photos and I am so thankful to call her my friend and support her amazing business dreams and make magic happen together! I love you and am so thankful for you ❤️💛 Thank you for making my day and wardrobe change flawless!
Now it’s time for the dress! I had a very specific style in mind for my dress and at the time most locations did not have it in. Thankfully Tonya at was happy to bring in the style for me to try. My shopping experience was so much fun and I loved having my Vu I Do Crew and my mom with me (in person and on the phone!).
I have a special place in my heart for this family owned business. 4 years ago I had the pleasure of planning the wedding for Tonya’s daughter and then later found out my husband was also her cheer coach. Now I am blessed again to be able to help with her son’s wedding in a few weeks! There is definitely something special about a locally owned business! Thank you for helping make my day so perfect ❤️💛

Not only have I had the pleasure of working with them with so many of my event clients, but I also got to be treated to the customer experience as well.
They helped bring my vision and to life and went as far as to match my dress color so the reds wouldn’t clash. They provided our backdrop, cake display, sweetheart table and tribute wall/seating chart.
I am so thankful for the friendships that have come from working together and making our clients dream days a reality. I look forward to many more years of magical moments! Thankful for each and every staff member!
