Kudos to a DJ colleague.....Brendan Burchill

In 43 years, I've missed only 1 other gig due to a medical emergency (in 1998 - an acute Gout attack - one of the most excruciatingly painful things I've ever experienced.)

On Sept 7, 2025, I sustained a 2nd degree burn on my right hand. The prognosis was that healing could take anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Oh, no! I had a wedding ceremony & reception booked (and paid in full) for Sept. 27!!! My fear was that I would not be recovered fully in time to perform dj services, since it's kind of tough to dj with one hand. I did not want to take a chance on inconveniencing my client at the last minute, thus, I called a colleague for coverage.

DJ Brendan Burchill of Brendan Michael Music stepped up in a big way. I contacted Brendan 3 weeks in advance of the wedding date. In short order, Brendan rearranged a couple of other matters, collected the ceremony & reception details I sent him, contacted the client, and took the gig off my hands (one hand - 😆).

I heard from the client this morning. He was thrilled with the awesome results that Brendan provided on short notice. The client raved about the ceremony sound, non-stop dancing, and the overall service received.

My thanks to Brendan for bailing me out and for giving the client what he deserved, a great wedding ceremony and reception.

Bottom line, make sure you have a network of colleagues to rely on. You never know when you'll need the help.

Very fun surprise 50th birthday party for Heather Z. at the Commercial Club in East Bridgewater.

Many friends of the birthday girl were "Zumba" people so there were several dance circles and routines on display.

A nice thank you from the mother of the Bat Mitzvah girl from Saturday night. There were nearly 50 kids and thus it was a bit challenging. But all turned out well.
Kudos to my partner for the night Sean Green for running the photobooth and to Brendan Burchill for providing the uplighting, fine tuned twice at the event by Sean.
Teamwork contributes to success.

Thanks so much for Saturday night. The kids had a blast, and the candle-lighting ceremony was wonderful. I also loved the slide show -- partly because it was Elana's work, and partly because of the musical accompaniment.
I really appreciated your organization, as well.
The room looked great with the uplighting, and people loved the photo booth. I will write to Sean separately, to thank him.
