So we’re pulling back the curtain.

These are two real South Shore wedding flower orders, from the initial order to the finished room. What you see on the screen is what went into creating each celebration.

Because the person designing your flowers is also helping bring your tables, ceremony, and overall vision to life.

Many Boston-area florists have minimums ranging from $4,000–$10,000+ before the full floral design is even created. You deserve to understand what that investment is actually paying for.

Eight questions to ask a wedding planner before you sign anything.

None of them are rude. You are about to hand somebody the most photographed day of your life, and the planner worth hiring will answer all eight without flinching.

To the mothers.

You are usually the one reading the proposal. You are often paying for part of it. And you are always the one she calls at eleven at night when it has all become too much.

Nobody makes anything for you, so here.

What you are actually worried about is not the flowers. It is that you will spend her whole wedding day managing it instead of being her mother that day.

That is the fear I hear more than any other one, and it is a fair one.

You should be in the front row. You should be dancing. Somebody else carries the clipboard.

Your mother’s seventieth deserves more than a back room and a sheet cake.

You will spend fifteen months planning a wedding and three weeks on the birthday of the woman who raised you, and then wonder why it felt like a dinner reservation with a cake at the end.
