Something sweet is coming to Hayes’s! 🍫🍦

Yesterday, our team spent the day in Denton training with the wonderful folks at Beth Marie’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream—and after seeing firsthand the care that goes into every batch, we are even more excited to bring this incredible ice cream home to Whitesboro!

Beth Marie’s has been a beloved North Texas tradition since 1998. Their premium-quality ice cream is made right there in Denton, Texas, with 14% butterfat for an exceptionally rich and creamy taste. Most batches are still churned in a machine designed in 1927, and with more than 150 flavors created over the years, there is always something delicious to discover!

The awards speak for themselves: Beth Marie’s has been voted Denton’s Best Frozen Treat an incredible 26 years in a row, along with receiving multiple Taste of North Texas Overall Winner and Kids’ Choice Awards!

But the sweetness won’t stop with ice cream! Hayes’s will also feature a six-foot, temperature-controlled candy cabinet filled with handcrafted chocolates and confections from Sweet Shop USA—all available for you to mix, match and purchase by the pound!

Located in Mount Pleasant, Texas, Sweet Shop USA is the largest handmade chocolate manufacturer in the country. Their gourmet chocolates are created in small batches with premium ingredients and include beautiful truffles, caramels, toffees, nut clusters and many other irresistible treats.

We will also have a fudge counter featuring a delicious assortment of fresh fudge, available by the piece or by the pound!

Award-winning homemade ice cream, fine Texas-made chocolates, candies sold by the pound and plenty of delicious fudge—all coming soon to Hayes’s! We cannot wait to share these wonderful treats with our little town. Whitesboro is in for something truly sweet!

We’re now taking custom orders for homecoming mums and garters for all area schools. Custom orders must be placed no later than one week before your school’s homecoming game—so don’t wait!

It’s almost Homecoming season—and in Texas, we know how to celebrate it BIG! 🏈📣

Hayes’s is now accepting orders for custom Homecoming mums and garters for Whitesboro and ALL area schools!

From school colors and mascots to names, activities, class years, ribbons, bells and plenty of sparkle, each mum and garter can be personalized especially for your student. Whether their style is classic and traditional or bold and over-the-top, there’s an option to help them show their school spirit in a big way!

BEHIND THE BLOOM: Care Tips for Your Cut Flower Arrangement

Want to help your fresh flowers stay beautiful longer? Here are a few simple care tips that can make a big difference:

💧 Check the water daily. Flowers drink more than you might expect! Keep the vase filled with fresh water mixed with the provided flower food.

✂️ Give the stems a fresh cut. Every few days, trim about half an inch from the stems at an angle to help them absorb water more easily.

🍃 Keep the water clean. Remove any leaves or petals that fall below the waterline, and replace cloudy water promptly to prevent bacteria from building up.

☀️ Choose the right location. Keep your arrangement away from direct sunlight, heating vents, fireplaces and strong drafts. Flowers last longest in a cool, comfortable spot.

🍎 Keep flowers away from fresh fruit. As apples, bananas, pears, peaches and other fruits ripen, they release an invisible, odorless gas called ethylene. It’s harmless to people, but it can cause flowers to wilt, yellow, drop petals or fail to open fully.

A little daily care goes a long way toward keeping your flowers fresh, beautiful and blooming as long as possible!
