This is crazy!

On October 5, 2026, President Trump signed an executive order intended to temporarily waive the off-road restriction on tax-exempt, red-dyed diesel to help lower fuel costs for highway drivers. However, because fuel-tax laws and road regulations are handled at both the federal and state levels, the executive order does not override individual state statutes automatically. To date, Governor Moore refuses to allow Marylanders to save money!

This is “Moore” bad policy for Marylanders. I will fight in the State Senate to lower fuel cost for Maryland families. The Governor should join me and give Marylanders a break!
