Over the past several months, I’ve had more and more families reach out with questions about a princess event held in a small town near Ashland, Kentucky. Many of you shared that the princesses there looked, acted, and spoke very differently from what you’ve come to expect from Characters Galore LLC, and some were worried that our performers and performances had changed.
I want to speak to this with honesty, kindness, and clarity.
✨ Characters Galore LLC was not affiliated with that event in any way.
✨ Those performers were not part of our cast.
✨ The style, voices, mannerisms, and character portrayals were not ours.
Some of the confusion came from unauthorized use of past Characters Galore images and videos in promotions for that event. I understand how that could make families believe we were attending, especially in our close‑knit region where towns overlap and events often look similar from the outside.
But to be clear:
What you saw there does not reflect our standards, our training, or our performers.
At Characters Galore, our princesses follow a very specific, protected performance standard - accurate character mannerisms, polished costuming, and the warm, magical interactions your children know and trust. That has not changed, and it will not change.
To the seven families (and counting) who reached out because you were concerned or disappointed by what you saw:
Your trust means everything to me. Your children’s experiences matter deeply, and I never want anyone to worry that our quality has shifted.
The performers at that event were lovely in their own way, but they were not trained by CharactersGalore, and their portrayal style is not representative of Characters Galore LLC.
