Come on Wharton County we need your support!

We are almost a week away from the 3rd Annual Hooves & Hulls Sporting Clays tournament! We are still looking for teams and sponsors.

ALL proceeds from this fundraiser will go DIRECTLY to the kids in May 2025. The Foundation's goal is to continue to increase the amount of scholarship give to each recipient. We need your help to get this done!

Join our dynamic team and help bring the excitement and organization behind the scenes of our annual fair to life! As the Assistant Fair Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting operations, managing vendors, coordinating logistics, and making sure everything runs smoothly—from setup to closing day!

Key Responsibilities:
🗂️ Support planning and ex*****on of fair events and logistics
🧾 Maintain financial records and assist with budgeting using QuickBooks
📞 Communicate with vendors, staff, and volunteers to ensure timelines are met
📋 Coordinate schedules, meetings, and documentation
📦 Manage inventory, order supplies, prizes, and awards
🎉 Help cultivate a positive, efficient, and fun fair experience for all

Qualifications:
🌟 Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
🖥️ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
📱 Skilled in all types of social media, able to maintain website & learn new programs
💼 Working knowledge of QuickBooks & ShoWorks (Fair exhibitor software) a plus
🧠 Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to juggle multiple tasks
🎓 Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Thank you Wharton County Electric Cooperative &CoBank for always supporting the youth of our county! You are appreciated!

WCEC is proud to announce the final recipient of the 2025 CoBank Sharing Success Grant. CoBank awarded $3,750 to the Wharton County Youth Fair's AgAdventures Learning Center, and WCEC matched the contribution, bringing the total donation to $7,500.

Congratulations to the WCYF! We know that the updates being planned for the Learning Center will benefit the youth of Wharton County for years to come!
