Hey Friends! It’s Deirdre with some great news and a schedule update.

Before I get into it, many of you reached out since my update regarding Patrick’s health. He’s turned a corner and we are extremely excited he’ll be headed home in the coming weeks. The warmth this community has extended has my cup running over. I’m so lucky! 💛

I’m anticipating still needing to be home a lot in October. Travel will remain limited from our home in OW. And, after a LOT of thought, I’ve come up with ways I can make up some missed work.

1) I’ve decided to offer BOOs for purchase this year. This was a hard one but Halloween is knocking on our door and if these signs have any chance of being used this year, this is the way. I included pictures in the comments. DM me if you’re interested. I have 6 sets of the BOOs with stars and a limited number of other pieces. There are also lots more smaller decor that I can send pics separately.

2) I’m jumping in two feet with A Letter Story 📖 Children’s Book | Family Experience ! This has been 9 year project I am truly proud of. If your kiddos are inspired by the whimsy and wonder of Christmas, give it a look.

I’m still here checking messages and doing as much as I can! I’m very optimistic that I’ll be fully back to work soon. 💛

📚✏️ Welcome Back to School, CC ✏️📚

This week students return at Corpus Christi! A few Corpus moms pulled together and requested a HUGE welcome back sign for the 1st day. (Thank you 💛!!)

Plus! An extra mini-setup for some special preschoolers to grab the perfect 1st day pic. in style!

I’m sending the BIGGEST, BRIGHTEST wishes for the most fabulous school year ahead.

🥳 It’s Lucas’ Birthday 🥳

Allllll the blues and yellow for a Minions themed party! 💙🩵💛

Alyse is shining a spotlight on her best guy, Lucas for his big 8️⃣ celebration. It’s always fun to bring a theme to life with colors. A couple Roblox inspired pieces made this yard card is complete!

🎊 Happy 8th Birthday, Lucas 🎊

I know this took me a minute to tally but you guys voted over 900 times and it was a close race! This year’s Back to School winner is John Patterson Elementary!! 🌟

It’s always so cool to see you guys showcase your school pride. I’m wishing every student, staff and teacher (and parent!!) a beautiful year of learning and making new memories.

Hey Friends! I’ve been hemming and hawing if or how to communicate some big life events and what it means for Yard Cards in the coming months. It’s become tricky to manage my time so I’m just gonna be as transparent as possible and know that all of you are more than just a ‘follower’ on this page, you’re my community.

Last week my husband suffered an unexpected health situation and is in critical condition in the ICU at Hartford Hospital. I don’t have a lot of answers but optimistic he will push through and come home.

What that means for me is that I’m learning to juggling our boys, home life, work and being at the hospital as much as I can.

What it means for yard cards is that I need to adjust to what I think I CAN do. I plan to remain local to Wethersfield or areas within a 10 min drive for the foreseeable future. This feels the most safe in terms of being close to the hospital and Ethan and gives me time to be where I need to be. You know I can do a mini with my eyes closed by now!

The customers I’ve had to cancel during this time have been so kind and understanding. The customers who let me leave their sign out for an obnoxious amount of time before pickup have also been so compassionate. If I had to say ‘no’ to you I’m so sorry and this is why. I can’t describe how thankful I am for everyone’s patience.

In 2-3 months when this is all over we’ll be back to business as usual 💛
