These pictures mean more to me than they probably realize. ❤️

The morning of this wedding, I realized I needed help. So I started calling and texting friends and family, basically saying, “I need you.”

And every. single. person. I reached out to showed up.

No hesitation. No excuses. They came ready to work, jumped right in, and had my back when I needed it most.

When you own a small business, people usually see the finished product—the pretty tables, the décor, the beautiful wedding and everything coming together. What they don’t always see are the people behind the scenes who step in when things get crazy and say, “I’ve got you.”

That day reminded me just how lucky I am.

To every one of you who dropped what you were doing, showed up for me, worked your butts off, laughed with me, and helped me get it done—I love you, and I will never forget it. ❤️

Meraki may be my business, but that day it definitely took a village.

And apparently… I have one hell of a village. 🥹❤️

Behind Meraki, there’s someone I don’t thank nearly enough. ❤️

When I decided to take a chance on myself and turn my love of planning and creating into Meraki Events & Design, Jason never questioned it. He supported me, encouraged me, listened to all my ideas, and has jumped in to help more times than I can count.

And the thing is… this man already wears SO many hats of his own.

Dad. 💙
Husband. ❤️
Steelworker.
Fire Chief. 🚒
Baseball coach. ⚾️
Basketball coach. 🏀

His plate is always full, yet somehow he still makes room for my dream, too.

Whether it’s helping me load, haul, build, figure something out, listening to me talk through an event for the hundredth time, or simply reminding me that I can do this—he’s been beside me since Meraki was just an idea.

Meraki may be my business, but I absolutely could not be building it without the man behind the scenes who keeps cheering me on.

Thank you, Jason, for believing in me and for helping me build something that means so much to me—even while carrying everything you already carry.

I love you, and I hope you know how much I appreciate you. ❤️

It has been such a joy being a small part of your journey, and I’m so excited to watch all of the planning come together today. Now it’s time to soak in every hug, every laugh, every happy tear and every beautiful little moment.

Last night I had the opportunity to shadow another wedding planner at an absolutely gorgeous venue!

Every experience like this reminds me how blessed I am to be doing something I truly love. Learning, growing, meeting amazing people, and being part of beautiful celebrations—my heart is so full.

Feeling incredibly grateful for where this journey is taking me. 🤍

Getting Back to Normal

After five long days without power following the derecho, we are finally starting to get back to some sense of normalcy.

I want to sincerely apologize to my brides, clients, and anyone who has reached out to Meraki over the past several days and hasn't received a response. Between the power outage, keeping our home and family going, and taking care of an 11-year-old through all of the chaos, it has been a lot to juggle.

On top of that, my husband is the Fire Chief here in Westville and has been going nonstop since the storm hit, helping our community through the incredible amount of damage left behind. Needless to say, normal life—and normal business—had to be put on hold for a few days.

But we have power back, we're getting settled, and I am getting caught up TODAY!

If you've emailed, messaged, or sent a request, please know I haven't forgotten about you. I will be reaching out and responding as quickly as possible today.

Thank you so much for your patience, grace, and understanding. And a huge thank you to all of the first responders, utility crews, neighbors, and community members who have worked tirelessly to help Westville and the surrounding communities recover.

Back to weddings, celebrations, and doing what I love!

☕️🤎 LOVE IS BREWING! 🤎☕️

What a weekend! After coordinating a wedding on Friday, I got to spend Saturday celebrating the beautiful and incredibly sweet Ashley at her bridal shower at The Pennsy Depot!

And if you know Ashley, you know her love for coffee runs DEEP… although I think her love for Dylan has it beat — just barely. ☕️🤎

It was such a beautiful shower filled with the sweetest details, lots of love, and so much excitement for what’s ahead.

Ashley & Dylan, I cannot wait to be there to coordinate your wedding this October at Sandy Pines and watch the two of you officially start your forever. 🤍

Wedding Friday. Bridal shower Saturday. My heart (and calendar 😂) are FULL — and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is exactly why I started Meraki. 🤍🌿

🤍 My First Official Meraki Wedding 🤍

Friday was one of those days I know I’ll carry with me forever.

As I stood there watching my first official Meraki bride walk down the aisle, I snapped this picture with tears in my eyes. In that moment, it really hit me — I did it. I got my first bride down the aisle. 🥹 And I realized all over again just how much I truly love this job.

Sam and her mom, Daniela, were two of the sweetest, kindest women I could have asked to work with. Thank you for trusting me with such an important day. 🤍

Williams Orchard will forever hold a special place in my heart. Even on a hot and humid day, it was the perfect place to begin this journey, and the staff was so welcoming and helpful. I truly couldn’t have done it without them.

I also loved finally getting to meet and work alongside Top-Knot Bridal and True Beauty by Dana — the bridal party looked absolutely beautiful! And Nikki Liz Photography, you were SO much fun to meet and work with! I hope this is the first of many weddings together. 🤍

And to Lisa and Leslie Lucas Shaw — thank you for trusting me with your weddings in 2025, before Meraki was even officially born. You gave me the confidence to believe I could actually do this and continue to be two of my biggest cheerleaders. A little piece of Meraki started with both of you. 🤍

I left exhausted, sweaty, emotional…and incredibly blessed.

My first official Meraki bride is married. And this is only the beginning. 🥹🤍
