🤍 What a season it has been. 🤍

As I look back on Meraki Events & Design's very first wedding season (I still have 4 to go this year), my heart is overflowing with gratitude.

This dream has been built one step at a time—while working full-time, continuing my education, being a wife, raising my son, and learning how to balance the beautiful chaos of family life with building a business I truly love. It hasn't always been easy, but every late night, early morning, and weekend has been worth it.

This first wedding season has been filled with incredible couples who trusted me with one of the most important days of their lives. Every consultation, timeline, vendor meeting, rehearsal, setup, and wedding day has reminded me why I started Meraki in the first place—to serve others and create celebrations that allow couples to simply be present and enjoy every moment.

To every couple, every vendor who welcomed me, every mentor who shared their knowledge, and every friend and family member who believed in me long before I believed in myself... thank you. Your encouragement has meant more than you know.

As a wife, a mom, a full-time steelworker, and a small business owner, there are days that leave me completely exhausted—but they're also the days that remind me dreams are worth working for.

I'm so excited for what the future holds. While I have room for one final wedding in 2026, I'm also excited to be booking weddings and events for 2027 and 2028. I can't wait to continue growing Meraki Events & Design, meet amazing new couples, build lasting relationships with incredible vendors, and help make so many wedding and event dreams come true.

Last night I had the incredible opportunity to shadow the amazingly talented Jenny with SHEdesigns at wedding at The Allure on the Lake. 🤍

One of the things I love most about this industry is that there is always something new to learn. Watching Jenny’s attention to detail, the way she leads with confidence, and how seamlessly she works with every vendor was truly inspiring.

I also had the chance to meet so many talented vendors that I’ve admired from afar but hadn’t had the opportunity to work alongside until now. Building those relationships and seeing everyone come together with one shared goal—to create an unforgettable experience for the couple—was such a rewarding experience.

From stunning florals and beautiful décor to a flower donkey that completely stole the show 🫏🌸 and even late-night cannolis for the guests… every detail made this wedding one to remember.

Thank you, Jenny, for welcoming me, sharing your knowledge, and allowing me to be a small part of such a beautiful day. Experiences like this continue to shape me into the planner I strive to become, and I’m so grateful for every opportunity to learn and grow.

This weekend I had the opportunity to work for Tiffany and Cheryl from Spare Rooms Studios, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about these incredibly talented women.

From striking a beautiful wedding at The Grand Gardner to setting up a baby shower at a private residence, it was a day full of teamwork, creativity, and making beautiful spaces come to life.

Their creativity is truly unmatched. They have an eye for design that transforms every space, and watching them work is inspiring. And can we talk about their inventory? It’s honestly my dream room—shelves upon shelves of beautiful décor with what feels like endless possibilities. Every event designer’s happy place!

Thank you both for trusting me to be a small part of your weekend. I learned so much, had a great time, and I’m looking forward to working for you again.
