Details …. A tiny one that maybe went unnoticed. Little Compton and the beautiful grounds where the wedding was to take place were there in spirit. Look closely and you will see a tent graphic added to the table numbers & seating cards. I took this from the image on the favors. This drawing was where everything would happen and was included in the wedding invitation. When I saw it I knew I wanted to incorporate it in the design …. Sometimes a little detail can turn into a special one.

A wedding + a northeaster …..
Have you heard “Every once in a while life gives us a fairy tale”? We are all living our own fairy tale aren’t we? They are all different and very special. To me that is what weddings are all about - a very special beginning to a lifelong fairy tale. Despite Mother Nature having other plans for the weather Margaret & Noah embraced the changes. The most important part of a year’s worth of planning did not change. Margaret & Noah said “I do”!

Take a peek at the details ….. rustic elegance and a nod to fall. Shades of lavender and purple, white pumpkins, touches of lace, rustic signs and wooden crates, even mums. Everything that was going under a tent and designed to complement the beautiful property the wedding was to be held at, was moved indoors ….. I’ll share more tomorrow.

A tale of a wedding and a northeaster. Two words a planner, a bride and groom and parents never wants to hear together. Lol But we did!
We have been planning Margaret & Noah’s wedding for about a year. Everything is going to plan ~ a gorgeous location, sailcloth tent, a rustic but elegant theme, and then Mother Nature has other plans. Rain + high winds, a northeaster. We had a plan A - original plan, plan B - a rain plan, a plan C - when using a tent was no longer an option. Plan C it was. I truly believe there is a reason things happen the way they do. The caterer for the wedding was Christian’s Catering. They also own many wedding and event venues. I called our caterer and they had one open venue for Saturday night. Rosebrook in Wareham. Wednesday the decision was made to move the wedding…..
