Gearing up for fall weddings. We are sanding and refinishing all of the oak tables and freshening up the paint on the bases of them. So much work but they are looking great . Did 20 today and have about that many to do tomorrow. We have openings for next fall .

This time of year is so beautiful on our farm. Especially after good spring rains. After 10 years in business all of our plants and landscaping has matured beautifully. There is always something to update , redo or fix when you own an event venue. Thank goodness Dwayne Kempker can usually accomplish what needs to be done. Making some changes to improve the space . This is one of the big projects. The oak bridge lasted 10 years now we are putting in a new one.

Spring has sprung on the Back 40. So many trees blooming that Dwayne Kempker planted. He has probably planted over 1000 trees on the farm. I have helped with some but he figured out an easier way and usually does it himself now . He has ordered hundreds of trees some years from conservation and has played let’s make a deal with local sellers at the end of their season when they have trees on clearance. It is really cool to see so many of them now maturing. We have beautiful color in the fall and spring because of his efforts.

Some may have heard that we weren’t booking weddings. I needed knee replacements and didn’t want to have any pending obligations in case it didn’t go well. I am happy to say I did great and we are once again booking weddings. Which means we have the highly sought after fall dates open for 2025 and all of 2026 open. Congrats to Palmer and Emma who were married here on Sept. 21. They had a beautiful ceremony and as soon as it was over we got some drizzling rain. It made for some awesome photos. They say rain is good luck on your wedding day because a wet knot is not easily undone. Thank you B. Wise Photography for sharing.! Outstanding work. Best wishes to the Soberg’s.
