The little touches make a big difference when creating custom wedding florals, like designing a groom's boutonniere that complements the bride's bouquet and adding a matching detail in the corsage for the groom's mom and his boutonniere.

Constantly learning, practicing, refining, and occasionally getting out of my comfort zone is necessary for growth as a designer. Stretching and flexing those creative muscles is the only way to creative genius. Here is a Dutch Masters and inspired “dark and moody” arrangement that I created during the recent FLORA 2025 workshop on Nantucket and captured so beautifully by . So happy that I got to spend 3 days surrounded by so many amazing creative minds. Thank you for bringing us together!

For a long time, I thought spring was hands-down no-doubt my favorite season because I love so many spring blooms, like peonies, sweet pea, muscari, spirea, ranunculus, and anemones. In the last few years, however, having spent more time discovering all that the fall season has to offer, I now find myself on the fence. Also, fall is not just oranges and browns! Pinks, peaches, corals, reds, yellow, greens, blues and purples and so on and so forth. Yes, I realize I just basically listed the entire rainbow! That is my point though. The autumn bounty is endless! What is your favorite season?

This wedding bouquet deserves a permanent spot on the grid. Showcasing some of my personal faves — peonies, Tess garden roses, Hermosa and Wildcat roses, anthurium… and the trailing cymbidium orchids. This one is just chef’s kiss.

Happy first wedding anniversary to this incredibly sweet couple! Alie & Zach booked me fairly early on in their wedding planning and then their original wedding venue in Cambridge closed unexpectedly. It was a shocker to say the least. After a stressful search for a new venue, they decided to pivot to a mini-destination wedding in Stowe, Vermont, a meaningful place for them. And that is how I got to flower a wedding in Vermont last summer. It was a trek, but so worth it! Cheers to you, Alie & Zach! 💕

These bouquets feel so quintessentially New England summer to me. They are fittingly full of blooms grown right here in Massachusetts and held up beautifully even on this hot, hazy, humid day. Cosmos and zinnias are two of my summer favorites. What about you?

Centerpieces don’t have to be flowers in vases. For this summer wedding at a modern barn house with a rustic vibe, we laid garlands made of three kinds of foliage along the center of the tables and added pops of blooms here and there. This works especially well for long farmhouse or Tuscan tables.

Blush weddings continue to be a popular choice, but that doesn’t mean it’s boring. To me it’s a classic palette that is soft, romantic and pretty and one that I will never tire of. Besides, there are so many enticing florals to choose from to keep each one fresh and not looking like the last. What are your favorite blush-y flowers?
