One of the most common questions we’ve received is:

“If I’m not a Gigster, but score high at auditions, will I be placed in the Gigster Division?”

The answer is no… at least not initially.

The Top 20 Rising Stars and Top 20 Gigsters are selected separately based on audition scores and eligibility requirements.

Gigsters cannot qualify for Rising Stars, and Rising Stars cannot qualify for Gigsters.

There is one exception.

If auditions conclude and there are still open spots remaining in the Gigster Division, those opportunities will be offered to Rising Star contestants based on audition scores, beginning with the next highest-scoring performer who did not initially qualify.

In other words, every available opportunity is earned.

A few months ago, Belt It Out! was just an idea on a whiteboard.

Today, I’m standing outside one of our incredible sponsor locations, wearing one of our very first official shirts, and realizing just how many people have already helped bring this season to life.

To every venue owner, sponsor, volunteer, future performer, supporter, graphic designer, photographer, bartender, DJ, judge, friend, and believer who has invested time, ideas, resources, encouragement, or simply shared a post…

Thank you. What you’re seeing this year isn’t just another season of Belt It Out!

It’s the beginning of a new chapter.

We’ve spent months rebuilding the experience from the ground up. New divisions. New formats. New audience interaction. New prizes. New events. New opportunities for singers and fans alike.

Most importantly, we’ve built it around the people who make this community special.

The performers. The audience. The venues. The friendships. The stories. The next few weeks are going to EX-CITE-ING.
