Year-end reflection is a useful tradition: taking stock of the year and turning it into information.
There were a lot of highs—creative fulfillment from weddings, collaboration that clicked, and the kind of confidence from clients that lets you do your best work. Getting my legs back. There was also time off with family and friends. St. John and Spain. Road trips with loved ones. Hudson Valley. Challenges and pace that push creatively. A solid team that supports your dreams.
And then the lows—what happens to all of us. Losing sweet Bambino, missing her terribly. The house isn’t the same without her.
Somewhere in the middle was the everyday work of keeping it all going, and finding the beauty in the smallest things: a single perfect stem arriving at the studio— Mother Nature’s gift that never tires.
Another year is another chance to reflect. I’m grateful to be here—for the work, the trust, the quiet, and the full volume, the highs and the lows.
