Next thing coming out of the tunnel is Stock! I have seen others grow this with success, saying it was so easy and satisfying, while I failed miserably year after year. This time I nailed it! They are so beautiful and smell delicious. While my field is a troubling, stress-inducing sloppy mess, I can feel good about my tunnel being in full swing.

Ranunculus for daaaaaays! Harvesting in the high tunnel on a rainy day is one of my favorite tasks. The sound of the rain on the plastic and the bird song make me smile. It is so full of color in there these days, it's hard not to be happy when you walk among the rows, even if it means hours of bending, counting, weeding and chopping grasshoppers in half!

The month of June is Pride Month commemorating the Stonewall riots of 1969. Since, it has become a celebration of diversity, acceptance, and love. It shouldn't be forgotten that so so many in the LGBTQ+ community have lost their lives and that of those they love in the name of hatred and intolerance. I will be donating a portion of all my June sales to The Trevor Project , an organization providing crisis intervention and su***de prevention services to le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, q***r & questioning (LGBTQ+) youth. PM if you are interested in a pride bouquet. I will deliver on Thursdays through the month of June within a few miles of Viroqua and Westby.

Having a fun and beautiful evening walking the land cutting greenery and lilacs with a delicious IPA in hand and a little Cypress Hill and Rage Against the Machine going in my pocket. It's evenings like this that remind me that I wouldn't trade my job for any other. These lovely buckets plus gobs of ranunculus, anemones and tulips will be part of the creations for the graduation. It's going to be a beautiful day full of all the feels I'm sure.
