I want to clear up a misconception that has apparently been going around.
Earlier this year, I became aware that a company was reporting unlicensed inflatable rental companies in Western Massachusetts to the Office of Public Safety and Inspections (OPSI). I heard this independently from multiple schools I had cold-called regarding field day rentals. I was also told which company was allegedly doing the reporting, but that is not something I feel the need to put out publicly.
I have also noticed that several people/businesses who are not licensed with the state have blocked my business page. I don't know why they've chosen to do that, but I want to make one thing very clear:
**It was not me.**
I have **never reported another inflatable rental company to OPSI**, including companies I've personally known to be unlicensed or uninsured.
In fact, I've taken the opposite approach.
I've offered to help numerous businesses navigate the licensing process, including offering to serve as their licensed CMM to help make getting into compliance easier. I've previously been listed as the active CMM for summer camps, and I've even mentored someone in the Boston area who started their own inflatable rental business last year.
I'm not interested in seeing other small businesses fail. **I'd much rather see more companies operating legally, carrying the proper insurance, and following the safety requirements that protect the kids and families we're all serving.**
If you or someone you know is currently operating without the proper licensing and/or insurance and genuinely wants to get into compliance, **reach out to me.** I'm happy to point you in the right direction and help where I can.
At the end of the day, we're all serving the same communities, and I'd rather see us collectively raise the standard for **safe, secure, and professional inflatable rentals** than see businesses operating in a way that puts themselves, their customers, or the industry at risk.
**I'm here to help—not report.**
