's special moments to Everyday Bouquets & CSA Garden Shares. When you choose to support Wandering Wisteria Botanicals, you can expect nothing but the freshest seasonal blooms along with so many charming elements, all grown chemical-free! As a lifelong nature enthusiast & graduate of the College of Natural Sciences at Umass Amherst, being a steward to our environment has always been an important driver in my career path. For that reason, you will never see noxious items such as floral foam, painted or bleached flowers, or invasive plants such as Pampas grass or Bittersweet vine in my work. Supporting our local pollinators & ecosystems is an imperative aspect to my sustainability commitment as a grower. Thus, my goal in cultivating my gardens is not only to provide you with beautiful, long lasting flowers to accompany both the special & ordinary moments in your life, but to also create an option that negates the harmful impact that traditional floristry tends to have on the grower, florist, & consumer, as well as the land on which the florals were produced. ✨️ The many personalities of Rudbeckia ✨️

I'll always have a place in my gardens for these summer treasures! There are so many unique varieties these days, showcasing double petalled blooms in all shades from burgundy to gold, with brown eyes to green, making them a versatile, charming addition to arrangements & gardens alike! And with a prolific growing habit & long-lived life in the vase, rudbeckia is a workhorse of a summer flower!

Rudbeckia may seem like an ordinary flower at first, but rest assured, these are not your grandma's Black-eyed Susan's! ...(not that there was anything wrong with those, of course 😄!)

✨️Summer time & the blooms just keep coming!✨️

It's been very busy over here between planting, harvesting, watering, building & arranging! Did I mention I moved 5 cubic yards of landscaping material (aka compost & loam) in the last week? 🫠 Getting more tomorrow & hopefully a delivery of several yards of mulch this weekend!

When you grow your own flowers, the work really never ends! But the beauty I create to share with you all, & the twilight garden strolls, definitely help make the relentless work worth it! 🥰🌿✨️

✨️Happy Summer Solstice!✨️

We made it! Summer is officially here & I'm soaking up these long days as much as I can!

It's a gorgeous time of year, with so much beauty bursting into bloom! And to celebrate all this vibrant life, I want to share the bounty that's coming from the gardens with you all!

Option 1: Now, & through this coming week (or until otherwise noted), get a charming bouquet filled with seasonal gems like feverfew, cheery rudbeckia, gorgeous larkspur & other magical bits n bobs for a mix that really embraces this time of year!
$25 (or 2 for $40) gets you a beautiful bouquet & helps support your local grower as well as all the local pollinators that thrive under our chemical free growing practices! 🥰✨️🌿

Option 2: Love a tactile experience? Me too! Now you can do more than just look at your flowers, you can touch them 'til your heart's content! Bunny tails are not only absolutely adorable, but are SO SOFT from tip to tail! 😉🐇 Enjoy them fresh & watch them dry before your eyes for an everlasting, natural decor element (no bleach here!)! Just don't refill the water in the vase & you're good to go! ✨️ $15 for a sweet little bundle!

I can't believe we are already nearly done with June! How does this happen... every year! 😅 Time is flying & the gardens are going! 🌿✨️💐

✨️Garden tour...pt 1 of many✨️

Take a little peek into my small-scale market garden & see the abundance of biodiversity! Not your typical growing operation. Just showcasing that not every situation has to be a cookie-cutter one!

I'm not used to talking to the camera, so I missed a few mentions in there, like my dill & bronze fennel that are also looking full & gorgeous! 😁

🌿About 80% of this row will be harvested, ripped, & flipped over the next 2 weeks, so she's gonna be looking increasingly sparse until the next round of lovelies get sown!

Plus, make it all the way to the end & get a bit of a blooper!...I was getting eaten alive out there! So that's my mosquito defense strategy, lol 🤪
. the things I do for social media...🙃

Anyway, thanks for coming along!

🌿Bugs.... not everyone's favorite topic, however, they are an integral part of gardening nonetheless!

This here is a Syrphid fly resting on some feverfew! A member of the hover fly family, Syrphid flies are valued teammates in the garden, & wild spaces in general!

Not only are they very effective pollinators, but their larval stages have voracious appetites for common, & at times detrimental, garden pests like aphids & thrips! However, Syrphid flies are especially susceptible to pesticides of any kind, so you will not often see them in areas treated with such things.

The last several days, the gardens have been teeming with life! Between green lacewings, syrphid flies, lady bugs, & lady bug larvae, the obvious abundance of beneficial insects has been exciting to see!

🌿This community of insects clearly highlights that the ecosystem in functioning as it should as a result of our chemical free commitment & I absolutely love witnessing nature flourishing! 🥰

Ok, ok... another poppy.. but just look at her! 😍

This is "Amazing Grey" Shirley poppy... a very short-lived beauty, best suited for event design work, for she is the epitome of ephemeral spring blooms.

But just look at that color! A hauntingly gorgeous dusty lavender hue encased in the most delicate, crepe paper petals... oh my! I just couldn't NOT show her off! ✨️🥰

🌿A big part of sustainable practices over here have to do with having as little waste as possible. And that all begins in the planning process of what to plant!

Do these elements make long-lasting, beautiful fresh cut flowers? If not used fresh, can they be dried & given another life as an Everlasting piece?

Almost everything I grow here in the gardens is multi-purpose & that is intentional! Even the smallest botanical elements can be preserved to make their way into a one of a kind Everlasting floral art piece or pressed & framed.

After making every bouquet lately sparkle with this Quaking grass, there was still plenty to be harvested! So what's a girl to do? Harvest, bunch, & dry it before the dainty little jewels went to seed or were compromised by the storms, of course! And once dry, it will offer an absolutely delightful, textural component to lots of Everlasting pieces in the upcoming months! ✨️

✨️This memorial piece proved to be a beautiful embodiment of the seasonal magic of spring! ✨️

💛 Inspired by the Remembered having a love for yellow roses, these multi-petaled, buttercream tulips offered a gorgeous seasonal alternative while still keeping the feel of a garden rose.

🌿This is what sustainable floristry can look like! Can you believe all these beautiful blooms were grown right here in my gardens, with zero chemicals?

Creating enchanting florals can be done while also supporting pollinators & our ecosystems & I'm thrilled to be able to provide local, responsibly grown flowers to those in my community that also value the well being of nature, as well as all its charms! ✨️🌿🥰
