September Community Events
September 4th Chick-Fil-A Food Truck: Chick-Fil-A will be back in the East parking lot from 11am until 7pm.
September 4th Back to School Family Festival: Located in the East parking lot of the Civic Center from 4pm to 8pm, the Back-to-School Family Festival is a fun family event. This event is hosted by the Heart of the Ozarks United Way.
September 4th and 17th Country Express Dance: The Country Express Band will be playing in the exhibit hall of the Civic Center at 7pm. Admission is $6 at the door.
September 11th A Talk to Remember: This event is located outside in the East parking lot of the Civic Center from 5pm to 8pm. There will be panel discussions, resources, candle lighting, food trucks, face painting and games for kids, and a memorial walk.
September 12th R7 Volleyball Show-Me Showdown: The Lady Zizzers and others will be competing at the West Plains Civic Center.
September 18th Rock to Freedom Concert: Located at the West Plains Civic Center, this free concert is hosted by Ozark Independent Living and starts at 5:30pm.
September 19th Southern Missouri Card Show: Come buy, sell or trade your cards. This event will be held in the Civic Center Exhibit Hall from 9am until 4pm.
September 22nd Grizzly Volleyball and Grizzly Club Picnic: The Grizzly Volleyball team is playing against Mineral Area at 5:30pm. Stop by before the game for the Grizzly Club Picnic.
September 29th R7 Volleyball Tournament: The Lady Zizzers and others will be competing at the West Plains Civic Center.
September 11th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th Animal Farm: Animal Farm is a dramatic stage adaptation of George Orwell’s classic allegorical novel. Tired of oppression under their human owner, the animals of Manor Farm rise up and take control, dreaming of a society where all animals are equal. But as the pigs assume leadership, their revolution slowly gives way to manipulation, corruption, and tyranny. Darkly humorous and increasingly unsettling, Animal Farm explores power, propaganda, class, and the frightening ease with which noble ideals can be twisted by those who seek control.
