I had a gig Wednesday night at a neighborhood-style dedicated memory care community specifically designed to enhance the quality of life for those with memory loss.

It was awe-inspiring to watch 20 people with Alzheimer's come alive with the sounds of music that took them back in time!!

I was supposed to sing to them for an hour, but we all had so much fun, I sang for an hour and a half.

It was a wonderful experience....music is such an awesome bridge!

If you have a person in your life that is struggling with Alzheimer's, I encourage you to play music from their younger years to them as often as possible. It really brightens their day!
