Joey's Outback Adventures

Hi Everyone! As most of you know we closed on February 11, 2018 for relocation. We were hoping to find a location fairly close to our old one, but with more favorable rent. We had looked at a couple locations, but they were not suitable for one reason or another.

Two weeks later my husband, Michael (whom most of you know well) became very ill. He was hospitalized for 3 1/2 weeks and during that time he had a surgery that was unsuccessful and made matters worse. He had a blood transfusion and is currently on TPN (liquid nutrition that goes in intravenously) and awaiting another transfusion and eventually when he is stronger he will have another surgery. He has not been allowed to eat or drink anything through is mouth for the past 4 weeks and may not be able to for many more weeks or even months. He is extremely weak. I have been taking care of his wounds and medications, along with Joey and just have not had time to look at properties, or even interview prospective franchisees.

We DO plan to reopen in another location. However, I cannot say when. Michael's illness has been all consuming for our family. We miss our "Joey's Outback families" and will keep you updated. We hope you enjoy a safe and happy summer filled with love, laughter and good health! ......Francesca

AS I WRITE THIS THROUGH THE TEARS IN MY EYES, IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT JOEY'S OUTBACK IN WELLINGTON WILL BE CLOSING ON FEBRUARY 12, 2018.
WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO NEGOTIATE MORE TIME, HOWEVER OUR LANDLORD DID NOT WANT TO RENEW OUR LEASE AND HAS SOLD THE BUILDING TO ANOTHER LANDLORD WHO IS GOING TO SPLIT UP OUR SPACE TO MAKE MORE MONEY.
WE WILL BE LOOKING AT POSSIBLE NEW LOCATIONS AFTER CLOSING!
WE WILL BE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK UNTIL THE 12TH OF FEBRUARY.
THIS SATURDAY THE 3RD IS OUR 7TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF JOEY'S OUTBACK! WE HAVE ENJOYED; SHARING OUR LIVES, LAUGHTER AND HOSTING OVER 15,000 "JOEY'S OUTBACK FAMILIES", PARTIES AND PLAYTIME, WE WILL BE OFFERING MANY SPECIALS INCLUDING A FREE CRITTER SHOW AND BALLOON ART AT 6PM.
