Two years ago I was an educator commuting 3 hours a day to/from work.
I built my first flower wall on my living room floor.
No business background, no idea what I was doing (literally).
I didn’t have systems. I didn’t have a marketing plan. I definitely didn’t have my transportation figured out (still learning what fits in a car the hard way 😅).
A year later, La Dolce Blooms was named PNW Best New Wedding Pro.
Not because I had it all figured out. Because I kept going when it was quiet, kept showing up when no one was booking, and refused to quit when it got hard.
Here’s exactly what changed everything for me:
1. Getting crystal clear on who I was actually renting to, instead of trying to be everything to everyone
2. Building my systems (contracts, payments, policies) before I ever needed them, not after a client asked
3. Treating marketing like a real plan, not something I did “here and there”
4. Learning that quiet months don’t mean it’s not working, they mean keep going
If I could sit down with the version of me still googling “how to start an event rental business” at 11pm, this is exactly what I’d hand her…👇
