The clock hitting 4:59 PM used to mean one thing... pure adrenaline.
For 20 years in the TV news business, I worked inside a daily storytelling factory. Every morning was a blank slate. By the evening newscast, we had to track down the story, bypass the fluff to find the emotional heart of it, and dumb down incredibly complex, tough topics into a 90 second story.
