I love it when inspiration pushes me deeper into my vinyl collection to help reacquaint me with music I haven’t played in ages.
After coming across an older PVD record couple days ago I’ve been wanting to play it in a set. So, a couple nights ago I powered up the rig to play a couple hours of trance and progressive house.

Over the last couple weeks I’ve been playing records a lot more than digital tracks, and have discovered a few skips in my vinyl. I make it a point to attempt fixing the skips and have been successful on every one so far. The result may be a noticeable “tik”, but that is far better, imo, than the song’s flow being interrupted.
Last night all it took to fix my RITM - OBE record (😱) was a good cleaning, but my Crystal Method remix of Caterpillar required more effort. By the look of the scratch on the latter record, along with the tight grouping of record grooves, I doubted I would be able to fix it. Luckily, tho, now it no longer skips a groove ahead. 🥳

I’m curious… should I put out a video showing how I fix these skips? Is there interest?
